Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) Her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. In fear of stress, her parents didn't want to see performing before turning 18. Perry, who was too shy for acting in school, began performing in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry, after graduating from Boston University moved into New York in search of acting roles on television. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness brought her back to California for theater roles. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie with her in 2015. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. She was also cast in The CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. She was cast in the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
